Planets are always in transit or moving. These transits have an influence on your Natal Chart and on your life during the entire time that it’s transiting. The slower outer planets Jupiter and Saturn spend longer in each sign or house. Jupiter, the guru and most benefic planet in Vedic astrology, stays in a sign for about a year. While Saturn, the most feared planet in astrology, known for hard work, challenges, delays, obstacles, discipline, and denial, spends around two and a half years in each sign. In the Jupiter and Saturn Transit Reading we identify both the potential in terms of ambitions and limitations in your chart at any given time.
Planets are always in transit or moving, and in Vedic astrology readings, these transits have an influence on your Natal Chart and on your life during while it’s transiting. Discover the meaning between you and the planets Jupiter and Saturn in transit through this Vedic Astrology Reading.
Jyotish is the astrology of India and a Vedanga or limb of the Veda-s, making it a sister science of Yoga and Ayurveda. Jyotish literally means “light” and is meant to illuminate the life path of the individual providing insight into one’s karma, strengths, weaknesses, personality, and dharma. Jyotish is part astronomy, mathematics, cosmology, omens, the setting of auspicious times for coming events, as well as horoscope interpretation.
At the time you were born the planets were in a particular configuration that offer a map of your life and karma. Understanding your natal chart helps you to understand yourself and give you a glimpse into your destiny, including valuable insights into personality, career, relationships, psychology, health, finances, children, family, and spiritual inclination.
Vedic Astrology empowers you to interpret the obstacles and good fortune that comes your way with the tools that you are inherently equipped with. The natal chart reveals your dasha cycles or planetary periods that rule your chart at particular times, as well as ongoing transits and periods of good and back luck that affect your life in a unique or significant way.
To help you navigate and gain greater insight about yourself and your life, I will at times synthesize Vedic Astrology with mystical traditions and tools of Human Design, Relocation Astrology and Western or Tropical Astrology.
I have been a casual student of Indian astrology since 1995, but it wasn’t until 2015 that I began to study formally.
I traveled to Sivananda Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, CA, for three years to study Jyotish. Here I met Jyotishi William Surface who encouraged me to analyze natal charts and invited me to study with him.
On the 2020 Winter solstice and great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, I received a spiritual name (Mukambika) from Swami Jnaneswariananda, a spiritual leader at Sivananda. “Mukambika” is the Tridevi: Lakshmi, Sarawati and Parvati. Her shakti it to bestow speech to others.
I am currently working on my Jyotish certification through the Council of Vedic Astrology with in-depth studies from renowned American astrologer Dennis Flaherty, as well as James Kelleher.
